Helping values-driven leaders achieve their visions for kids and families
As a leadership coach and consultant, I partner with you to clarify strategy, build on strengths, galvanize support, and create lasting change.
The families you serve need you and your team at your best.
The challenges facing organizations like yours are greater than ever.
Funding priorities are constantly shifting, teams are under stress, and it can be difficult to communicate your mission effectively to funders and partners in an increasingly noisy world. Recent internal and external changes may even be impacting your team's sense of safety, well-being, or belonging.
As a leader, you have a vision, but you need everyone rowing in the same direction to get there.
Drawing on evidence-based positive psychology tools, I will help you engage and motivate partners, re-energize your team, and hone your strategy while fostering a culture of possibility.
Let’s work together to create a better world for families.

Testimonials
“When I was leading a fast-paced federal Commission, I often sought Jill’s advice about difficult decisions. She did not tell me what I wanted to hear. Instead, she would help me consider the options available and the implications of each. Her questions stayed with me, keeping my values in check as I led the project to completion. Working with Jill has helped me understand who I want to be in my field.”

“I was thoroughly impressed with the retreat’s design and facilitation, as it skillfully homed in on the areas in need of development for our team. The activities were meaningful, engaging, and unique—a refreshing departure from the typical, tried-and-true retreat activities. I walked away from the retreat feeling inspired, rather than drained, which is no small feat for an introvert!”

Actively working against systemic oppression is essential to creating a just and equitable world. Families are placed at risk by multiple, intersectional systems, and it's crucial to avoid doing more harm while trying to help. This means actively unraveling deeply ingrained principles of white supremacist culture.
An important element of this is partnering with people with lived expertise who are thoughtfully prepared and fairly compensated.
Your team's safety and well-being are my highest priorities. If I believe a consultant with a different lived experience would be a better fit for your project, I'll be upfront about that. I actively seek to refer to and partner with consultants of color to ensure that the best expertise is brought to your table.

Positive psychology draws on the latest research into what happy, successful people have in common. As a coach, I draw on this research along with a set of proven tools to build on my clients’ strengths and help them thrive.
Appreciative inquiry is a similar strengths-based approach to organizational development that focuses on exploring and building on what is already working well.
Research shows that these positive approaches yield numerous benefits in the workplace, including greater motivation and morale, better team relationships, more creative problem-solving, and higher productivity.

Absolutely not. Positive psychology acknowledges the challenges you face while empowering you to reframe them in a way that promotes action and solutions. It encourages us to move from focusing on problems to focusing on what we want more of. For example, instead of, 'Funders don't want to fund what we do,' we reframe to: 'We want to attract funders who are aligned with our purpose and eager to partner with us to achieve better outcomes.' This approach shifts stuck thinking and opens up new possibilities.
I’m excited to work with you and your team
